He is starting to go off his formula, but will drink normal milk
my son is 8 months old and is strating to go of his formular but will drink normal milk. i was wondering if giving half milk and half water would it hurt him or anything easle?
Answer: Hi There, For now it would be best to stick with formula even if it is rejected. Cows’ milk isn’t recommended as drink for bubs until after 12 months as it is too low in iron, too high in calcium (which interferes with iron), high in calories which can upset appetite and in young bubs can cause slight intestinal bleeding. So leave the milk for another 4 months or so, keep offering formula bub is likely to come around soon. Remember in a month or so he can have food first and then formula so things change in favour of food very strongly soon. All the best, Leanne
