We are lucky to get another hour of sleep in before we have to wake up!

Hi Maree - I have a 22 month old daughter who wakes every night. We give her a bottle of milk before bed each night (we only switched her to cows milk in the last month as she was constantly constipated on cows milk - she has been drinking S26 Follow On Formula). Every night she wakes up for another bottle in the early hours of the morning, then just stays awake for an average of 2-3 hours chattering, talking, crying, etc, until she either finally falls asleep. Sometimes we have to give her some more milk, which seems to settle her and she finally goes to sleep! We are then lucky enough to get another hour of sleep in before we have to wake up! We have tried just comforting her however she is not generally upset, just awake, and have been resorting to the bottle as at least she does go back to sleep sometimes. Any ideas? She is still in a cot.
Thanks
Lisa

Answer: Hi Lisa, This has now become a habit to wake for the bottle. I would definitely stop offering the drink if you want things to change. Try our settling techniques for 6 to 12 months since she is still in a cot this would be ok. They offer a clear and repetitive message that it`s time to sleep. Cheers, Maree
