Little Frank is 6 months old next week. He`s slept right through a total of 1 week and one day - at around the age of 4 months. He would generally go to bed around 7pm, wake up for a feed between 12-2am and again between 4-6am. In the last month 1/2, he`s started waking up at 21h30. For a while we thought it was his teeth and were giving him bonjela, then sm33 or panadol/nurofen - depending on how bad the pain "sounded" in his cry. Now he`s to the point where he just keeps waking up every few minutes until we actually take him out of his cot, and either feed him or take him to the spare room to sleep with him. I`m thinking its a seperation problem as when he sleeps with me in the bed, he always wants to be touching me. How do we overcome this issue? Also, when he feeds at night now, the first time might be a decent feed, but subsequent feeds seem to be only a comfort thing. Really confusing my breastmilk supply and I`m wanting to start weaning him off slowly. Do you suggest stopping the night time breast feeds completely and if really needs a feed, I could give him formula? That way once my breasts are used to that, then I can start the recommended plan for slow weaning during day feeds?
Thanks very much and REALLY looking forward to your response.
