Now that she is unwrapped all she wants to do is move around the cot and play

Hello,
I have an 8 month old daughter (lilly) Up until now Lilly has been an excellent sleeper, sleeping through the night and having really good day sleeps since she was practically a newborn. However she is now way to big to be wrapped and I am having difficulty trying to get her to sleep both day and night with it taking up to two hours to get her to sleep and resulting in me having to either hold her hands down or putting her in bed with me.
Now that she is unwrapped all she wants to do is move around the cot and play. Once I have gotten her to sleep she seems to now wake up at about 2am and cry until I let her sleep in the bed with us..... I hate this!!
suggestions ??
thanks heaps
Tess

Answer: Hi Tess, Lilly is probably experiencing 8 month separation anxiety which won`t be helping. You are right she is too big to be wrapped now so I would get rid of that. You may wish to try following our settling program for 6 to 12 months to settle her. Do be sure to watch for tired signs and settle her straight away. Cheers, Maree
