hi my 2.5 yr old still sleeps in our bed, any tips on how to get him into his own bed?
Answer: Hi, If this is a problem for you then check the Huggies site for information on "Toddler in a Bed' settling/sleep strategies. If you want him to sleep in his own bed then you need to be consistent, patient and clear with him. He's likely to protest but if you work together with your partner and make it clear to your toddler that he needs to sleep in his own bed from now on he will eventually follow your lead. Make sure you settle him in his own bed so he goes to sleep there. And sit on his bed or a chair in his room and pat and soothe him until he's calm. He's likely to protest and try what has worked before in terms of getting you to relent but ultimately, if you tell him to "lie down, go to sleep" repeatedly and stay very calm but clear with him, he will learn that there's no point in protesting. Check the other sleep and responsive settling information on the Huggies site. Best Jane
