Hi. My baby just turned 2 months today. At night she sleeps for 8 hours waking twice for feed in between. But during the day time she hardly sleeps. Just has 2-4 naps each lasting 30-60 mins. Is that normal?
Answer: Yes it might be completely normal for her. However, you're probably finding that she's cranky and irritable after an hour or so of being awake and hard to please. Generally settling is easier after a feed. Look for her tired signs and try to capture that "window" of time when she's tired but not overtired, that's going to be the easiest time for you to settle her. Check the Huggies site for specific information on tired signs and responsive settling techniques. Check the settling in arms and comfort settling sections, they'll give you the best ideas on how to soothe and settle her. And it would also be a good idea for you to take her to your CHN to be weighed and measured and plotted on her percentile "growth" charts to ensure that she's gaining weight and thriving as she needs to.
