Answer: Hi Stacey, I have many families who start introducing baby sign language to their children from day one. It is completely up to you when you start. Your baby however is unable to sign back until they have the physical dexterity which is around 4-6 months of age. For the parents who started signing from day one, they found it beneficial as it got them in the habit of signing in their daily routines. But if you do start to sign earlier, you must be patient as it is not something that will happen overnight. When starting, choose only 5 signs and be consistent with those signs. And remember, have FUN! Happy Signing! Jackie
