Some advice on stress levels from work on my unborn baby?

Hi
I`m a forensic interviewer, that means that on a daily basis I interview children and young people on video about their experiences of sexual, physical and emotional abuse. I have been advised that I should stop interviewing due to the affects of my levels of stress and arousal due to this work on my unborn baby, I am 21 weeks. Can you give me some advise and info on the effects of my levels of stress due to my job on my unborn baby? Thanks Wendy

Betty...
Answer: Dear Wendy, who has advised this? Are you personally feeling stressed? Of course if you are feeling stressed then your baby will be too, whether they are in utero, a newborn, or a teenager - we all feel the stress of others. This may contribute to your baby being unsettled and overly sensitive. It all depends on the particulars re: your level of stress. Betty
