Where can I purchase good second hand books from?
Hi Brett, I have a 6 month old and am very keen to build up a large library of books for her. I am an ECE Teacher and understand the importance of reading and literacy in the early years. Children`s books are very expensive and I was wondering if you can suggest how/where I could purchase second hand books from. I have looked on trade me, and there are many books, but not many quality books. Ones that are classics. eg. The Hungry Caterpillar, Where the Wild Things Are etc. Any suggestions?
Books don`t have to be expensive! At the Huggies Bookclub, we offer free postage and a 10% discount if you`re a Huggies member, plus plenty of extra-discount specials. You`re right that good reading is about quality, not quantity of books. Perhaps it`s worthwile just buying a few of the classics. You`ll find most kids have their favourite few stoies that they just want to read over and over again anyway! Of course, your local library is another great resource and is perfect for injecting a bit of variety in to your reading sessions. (And it`s FREE!)
Best of luck,
