Ive been buying drynites for both my boys aged 6 and 5 and if I don't wake them up they will wet the bed even though they are wearing drynites nappies. Surely this shouldn't be happening.
Neither boy is over the recommended weight. Neither boy is filling up on water or juice before bed.
Answer: Hi, Some children just take longer than others to be dry at night and their urine production is so high that any amount of absorbent material won't soak up all the urine they produce. Some parents find it useful to use a maternity or incontinence pad adhered to the inside of the night nappy for extra soaking. Limiting fluids though it sounds like it should be effective isn't always. It's not uncommon for boys to take longer to be dry at night and there's generally a strong genetic influence; how old their parents were when dry at night factors very strongly. Cheers Jane
