Baby keeps dropping down into my pelvis 2/5 but has come back up twice

Hi Alex, was just wondering I am currently 33 weeks pregnant with my second child, i have been having heaps of contractions (think that they are just braxton hicks) which i can feel but don`t hurt, just wondering if this is a sign that i may go early? baby keeps dropping down into my pelvis 2/5 but has come back up twice, has stayed down for 2 weeks now...
Any help with treatment of sciatica in one leg? pain from hip joint, down inside of leg to ankle...
thanks heaps, Fiona

Answer: Hi Fiona, It is very common in subsequent pregnancies to have far more tightenings and to be more aware of the Braxton hicks contractions. It is not an indication that you will go early. You may continue to have the tightenings up until the baby is due. With sciatica it is really a matter of finding a position that you are comfortable with and also to rest with your legs elevated in the evenings. You can try heat packs to relieve the discomfort and some women find yoga to be really helpful. Best wishes, Alex
