I had a c-section with my first baby, could this have caused these problems?

Hi,
I have had two pregnancies that ended in miscarriage last year and have a 2 yr. old child. I want to try again but i am concerned as my periods are very irregular. I get alot of pain when i assume i`m ovulating (in my right side radiating around to my back- sometimes even down my leg when i`m in bed.) I then get serious hormonal symptoms such as sore breasts, cramping, headaches etc. sometimes for as long as four weeks before i actually get a period. I feel ok for about a week after my period has ended and then it starts all over again!!! I have had untrasounds that show no cysts. My gyno says shes not worried as i already have a baby but surely this can`t be normal! Is there something wrong with me? I had a c=section with my first baby- could this have caused these problems? Any advice would be appreciated.

Answer: Hi, I am not really sure what you problem may be. You need to talk to your specialist about this and they should be able to do some blood tests to check your hormone levels. If you are ovulating and having periods you are still fertile so should be able to fall pregnant even though your periods are irregular. Some women do have irregular periods and this is normal for them. Best wishes, Alex
