Can a low placenta cause any harm to my baby and what are the complications?
I am currently 23 weeks pregnant and was told at my 2o week scan that my placenta is low. Is this any harm to my baby and what are the complications involved?
Answer: Hi Bec, A low placenta in early pregnancy usually causes no problems to mother or baby. You may need another ultrasound at around 34 weeks to check if the placenta has risen as the lower segment of your uterus forms. Best wishes, Alex
